Bus Inspection & Cleaning System — Slangen Reizen

Custom-built inspection and cleaning system allowing Slangen Reizen's cleaning staff to inspect and clean buses via QR scanning. Defects, photos and cleaning reports are automatically emailed to management every morning.

Slangen Reizen needed a structured system to track the daily cleaning and inspection of their bus fleet. The old process relied on paper checklists — difficult to archive, unverifiable and prone to errors.

I developed a fully digital inspection and cleaning system based on Laravel. Each bus has a unique QR code. The cleaner scans the QR code with their smartphone and immediately sees a checklist for that specific bus.

The system works entirely through the smartphone browser — no app installation required.

Core features:

- QR code scanning: each bus has a unique QR code that starts the inspection

- Cleaning checklist: the cleaner indicates what has been done per component

- Defect reporting: defects can be reported immediately with a description

- Photo upload: photos of defects or notable issues are uploaded directly

- Automatic reporting: every morning management receives a summary email with all inspections from the previous night

- Archive: all reports are stored and retrievable per bus and per date

- Management dashboard: real-time overview of the status of all buses

The system runs on MKWebDesign's server and requires no technical knowledge from users. Scan, fill in, done.
